17. Alliances to achieve the objectives.

“To achieve these goals, everyone has to do their part: governments, the private sector, civil society and people like you” (UN, 2018).

In light of this consideration and call to action, DRESS YOUR RIGHTS intends to contribute directly and indirectly to these objectives, to offer viable and specialized solutions.

Responsible Consumption and Production

Goal 12: Guarantee sustainable consumption and production patterns.

DRESS YOUR RIGHTS is aimed at a population interested in acquiring designer and quality garments, managed with social and environmentally friendly standards, people who are agents of change and promoters of new consumption habits.

Reduction of inequalities

Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and between countries.

Affirmative actions towards the achievement of this objective:

– Position Costa Rica as a creator and producer of ethical fashion.

– Provide workshops on assertive communication and emotional intelligence, female leadership, decision-making and development of design thinking.

– We function as a platform in search of new creative and local talent.

– We encourage, support and educate communities with limited resources to develop their entrepreneurial skills.

Environmental Activism

Goal 13: Adopt urgent measures to combat climate change and its effects.

Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.

As part of our commitment to the environment and the Paris Global Agreement, brands such as etérea (one of our partner brands)have developed garments made from plastics extracted from the sea. Etérea uses high-quality natural fabrics, producing long-term versatile pieces on a smaller scale. Etérea has ventured with recycled plastic fabrics and in its most recent collections, they ode to the nature of Costa Rica, with their own illustrations, inspired by the tropical forest and national fauna.

Social and Economic Consciousness

Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

We employ women from all organizational spheres, under socio-economic standards that guarantee access to decent work and cooperate with the direct participation of women in the formal economy.
